ah, winter
This southern California weather, to me, is really weird. I mean really… being outdoors in December and January and February with sandals and a t-shirt on? I’m from northern places, places like Minnesota and Montana where you need to wear more layers than this even indoors this time of year. I found myself needing a winter fix this morning, even if it is only on my computer screen…

I hear you; winter here is pretty screwed up. However that said, I freeze my butt off quite a bit now that I’m “deacclimated” from northern climates!
Yeah, well, I had to put on long sleeves today too…
Yeah, even being from North Carolina, sandals and a t-shirt in January and February just doesn’t seem right.
I must admit it’a pretty comfortable… I just hope I don’t go into shock when I head back north again…
Those cliffs in the Bitteroot look as tall and formidable as in Yosemite. Winter often brings mountain photos alive. Nice composition.
Thanks David. From all the photos I’ve seen of Yosemite over the years, and from my own brief trips up and over the Sierra, I’ve noticed it is indeed very similar to the Bitterroot.
