a new year… a new look
So… a new year and a new look. I decided after three years with the same theme, it was time for a new paint job here at this place.
I really liked the theme I was using. It was very easy to customize and work with. It was an older version though, and as WordPress upgraded their versions it got less and less responsive. Changes got harder to make, and some couldn’t be made at all anymore without updating to a new version of the theme. That new version was changed enough that I didn’t like it anymore. It was another example where new and improved was a giant step backward. So I’ll take this one for a test drive. I like clean and simple and this seems to fit the bill. If not, I’ll try something else.
It’s a new year, time for a new look, and maybe I’ll even get started on some new work. So, I’ll get busy setting this thing up… let me know what you think.
Happy New Year to all of you… may it be productive and successful.

I like this new look, PJ. It is very restful to the eyes and easy to read – two very important things in my opinion.
I think 2013 will be a very good year. All the best to you.
Sharon
Thanks Sharon. I like the look too, and I agree it’s easy on the eyes, but I’m not sold on it yet. Very few options to work with. This (sundance) might end up being my choice, but I’m trying a couple of others first.
All the best to you too.
Looks good, PJ. Happy New Years.
Thanks Richard.
I think I’ll stick with this theme. I had tried another one earlier that Sharon saw which looked good but had no options to customize. This one has a ton. A few more tweaks and I should be good to go.
Happy New Year to you too.
I like it Paul! Hope you have a great 2013!!!
Thanks Monte. It’s not all that different looking from the old one, but it sure is better to work with.
Hope your 2013 goes well too.
Theme lookin good PJ. Happy New Year to you.
Thanks Mark… this one suits me just fine. Clean, uncluttered, and from what I can see it’s fast loading.
Happy New Year to you too…
It looks good, PJ. More readable.
Thanks. Readable is important. I might have to do a large print version soon so I can read it myself…
I like it PJ…definitely an upgrade from the old model. It’s funny, I’ve been spending some time lately previewing different themes, but haven’t quite found any I’m happy with…yet.
Thanks Greg. It’s not all that different, but it’s certainly an improvement. This one doesn’t have some of the annoying quirks the other one had. I’m sure it has it’s own that I’ll find given time though…
Looking good!!
Thanks, man.
